In general there are three different grades for Doppler pattern: Mythical, Legendary and Ancient. There is a high chance to get one of the Mythical pattern, a medium chance to get a Legendary and a very low chance to get an Ancient. The Mythical Pattern are basically divided in four Phases. For example the four Phases on the M9 Bayonet can be colored like this:
If you get a Doppler Knife, your chance to get one of the four Phases is about 90%. Because of this Phase 1-4 are worth more or less market price.
The only Phase that can be more valuable is Phase 2 because of its big percentage of pink, that makes the pattern very popular in the community. That’s why Phase 2 is also known as “Pink Galaxy”. Because of its nice look it can be worth up to 150% of market price, but commonly around 110%-125% of market price. Here you can see a nice example of a Flip Knife Pink Galaxy:
The second grade of Doppler pattern, Legendary, has a rarity of less than 10% of all Doppler knives. The Legendary pattern is either completely blue or completely red. Thats why they are known as “Sapphire” and “Ruby” in the community. Both are very favored and because of its high rarity also very expensive. A Ruby or Sapphire pattern on your knife increases the value by 900% of market price (depending on the knife).
Last but not least, there is the Ancient grade. This is the rarest Doppler pattern with a rarity of less than 1% of every Doppler knife. And it looks unique like no other Doppler pattern. In the community this pattern is known as “Black Pearl” because it is completely black. It is worth a lot more than the Mythical pattern because of its rarity, but its less worth than Sapphire and Ruby, because the Black Pearl has no bright colors. If you trade it, the Black Pearl is worth about 750% of the market price.
